The rules for using sinkoaudio.com, your account, the store, subscriptions, Sonar, production services and contests.
Contents
01 Who we are
sinkoaudio.com is operated by Brage Bjanger Music, organisation number 931 912 275, Rosenborggata 1A, 0356 Oslo, Norway ("Sinko", "we", "us"). Contact: team@sinkoaudio.com.
These terms apply to your use of the website, your Sinko account, the store, subscriptions, Sonar, production services, and contests. Our License Terms and Privacy Policy form part of these terms.
If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms limits your mandatory rights under Norwegian consumer law. Where these terms conflict with those rights, the law applies.
02 Your account
• You must be at least 13 to create a free (Core) account.
• To buy anything or subscribe to Plus or Studio, you must be 18, or 16 or 17 with a parent or guardian who accepts these terms and pays on your behalf.
• Give accurate information, keep your login details secure, and do not share your account. One account belongs to one person.
• You can delete your account at any time. Unused credits, XP and loyalty points are lost when you do. Licenses you have already received for purchased products continue.
• We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, is used for fraud, or has an unresolved chargeback. Where reasonable, we will warn you first and explain why.
03 Prices, payments and orders
• Prices are shown in EUR and are the total price you pay. We are not currently registered for VAT. If we register, displayed prices will include VAT.
• Payments are processed by Wix Payments and Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
• A purchase is binding when you receive our order confirmation by email.
• If a price is obviously wrong because of an error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full.
04 Digital Products
• Sample packs, presets, instrumentals and plugins are delivered as downloads through your account or by email, and some smaller files through a Google Drive link.
• You receive a license to use the product, not ownership of it. What you may do is set out in the License Terms.
• We keep your purchases available for re-download for as long as the product is sold and for at least 12 months after purchase. Keep your own backup.
05 Right of withdrawal (Angrerett)
As a consumer, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase made online.
Digital downloads
At checkout we ask you to agree that delivery starts immediately and to confirm that you then lose your right of withdrawal. Once you have agreed and the download is made available, the right of withdrawal no longer applies to that product.
Subscriptions
When you subscribe to Plus or Studio, we ask you to agree that your subscription starts immediately, and to confirm that you lose your right of withdrawal once you download or claim a product or redeem a credit. If you cancel within 14 days of the day your subscription starts and have done none of these, we end your subscription immediately and refund the full payment. Once you have downloaded or claimed a product (including Vault packs) or redeemed a credit, the right of withdrawal no longer applies, and cancelling works as described in section 6.
Production services
You may withdraw within 14 days of the agreement. If you asked us to start work within that period, you pay a proportionate amount for the work done up to your withdrawal. The right of withdrawal ends once the service is fully delivered at your request.
How to withdraw
Send the standard withdrawal form or a clear message to team@sinkoaudio.com within the deadline. We refund within 14 days of receiving it, using the same payment method.
06 Subscriptions (Core, Plus and Studio)
• Core: Free
• Plus: 9 EUR per month
• Studio: 24 EUR per month
• Where offered, annual plans are billed once per year. Current benefits are shown on the pricing page.
• Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time from your account. Your plan then stays active until the end of the current billing period, and paid benefits continue until then. Apart from the full refund described in section 5, or where the law requires, we do not refund the remaining part of a period.
• Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.
• If a payment fails, we will try again and notify you. Paid benefits pause until payment succeeds.
• Price changes: we give at least 30 days' notice by email. The new price applies from your next renewal after the notice period, and you may cancel before then.
• Changes to benefits: we may add, change or remove subscription benefits, the Vault catalogue, XP rules and the rewards ladder. If a change significantly reduces what a paid plan includes, we give 30 days' notice and you may cancel with a refund of any prepaid, unused period.
• Products you claimed or downloaded as a subscriber (such as Vault packs) stay licensed to you after you cancel, under the License Terms.
07 Credits and cashback
• Paid plans receive song credits each month, which can be redeemed where the site allows.
• Credits do not expire while your account exists. If you downgrade or cancel, you keep unused credits but receive no new ones.
• Credits and loyalty points have no cash value, cannot be refunded, sold or transferred, and are lost if your account is deleted or closed for breach of these terms.
• Cashback is earned as loyalty points at the rate shown for your plan. Points earned on a purchase are removed if that purchase is refunded.
• If we discontinue credits or cashback, we give at least 60 days' notice so you can use your balance.
08 Sonar
• Sonar is an ear-training platform with free and paid features. It is a learning tool, and we do not guarantee any particular result.
• XP, levels and in-game rewards have no monetary value. We may rebalance them, and we may correct or reset progress caused by bugs, cheating or abuse.
• Rewards such as discounts or free products are subject to any conditions shown when you claim them.
• Do not use automation, scripts or bugs to gain XP or rewards.
09 Production services
This covers music production, mixing, mastering, custom music, post production and graphic design.
• Agreement: you request a service through a booking form. The agreement is formed when we confirm the scope, price and estimated delivery date in writing.
• Your material: you keep all rights to material you send us (vocals, lyrics, melodies, recordings, stems, artwork), and you confirm you have the right to let us use it for the job.
• Payment: no deposit is required. We deliver a preview for approval, then invoice you. Payment is due within 14 days of the invoice, and final files are released once payment is received.
• Revisions: revisions within the agreed scope are included. Changes outside that scope, such as a new song, a different style or a new arrangement direction, are quoted separately.
• Timing: delivery dates are estimates. We tell you as soon as we know of a delay.
• Rights on payment: when you have paid in full, the rights to the delivered work transfer to you as agreed in the order confirmation. Sinko keeps the right to be credited as producer, mixing or mastering engineer, or designer, as relevant.
• Non-payment: if we have not received payment within 30 days after the due date, and at least one reminder has been sent, the agreement ends and no rights transfer to you. Sinko then keeps all rights to what Sinko created (for example the instrumental, production, arrangement and designs) and may use, license or sell it, including on our beat store. We will not use your own material and will delete it.
• Portfolio: we only show your project in our portfolio if you consented when booking. You can withdraw that consent at any time, and we will remove the project within a reasonable time.
• Cancellation by you: after the withdrawal period, you may still cancel. You then pay for the work done so far, and until you do, the non-payment terms apply to that work.
• Business clients: these terms apply to businesses unless we agree otherwise in writing. Consumer rights sections do not apply to business purchases.
10 Contests and challenges
• Each contest or challenge has its own rules page, which takes priority over this section on the specifics.
• You need a Sinko account to enter. Sinko team members and their close family cannot win.
• Your entry must be your own work, apart from any material we provide for the contest. Do not include uncleared samples or anyone else's work.
• You keep ownership of your entry. By entering, you give Sinko a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, play, stream and share it to run and promote the contest, including in posts that remain online afterwards.
• Stems or samples provided for a contest may only be used for your entry. You may not release your entry commercially without separate written permission from the rights holder.
• Prizes are as stated in the rules, cannot be exchanged for cash, and any taxes are the winner's responsibility. We may disqualify entries that break the rules, and may cancel a contest with too few entries.
11 Acceptable use
You may not share or redistribute products or downloads, share accounts, scrape or copy the site or Sonar, reverse engineer our software except where the law allows, interfere with the site's security, upload content you do not have the rights to, or harass other users. Our Discord server is also subject to Discord's own terms.
12 Our content
The website, Sonar, the Sinko brand and all content we publish belong to Sinko or our licensors. Apart from the licenses we grant you, no rights transfer to you.
13 Faults and liability
• Products and services must match their description. If something is faulty, contact us within a reasonable time after you discover it. You are entitled to have it fixed, or to a price reduction or refund, as Norwegian consumer law provides.
• We are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost income or lost data, except where caused by our gross negligence or intent, or where mandatory law says otherwise.
• We are not responsible for services run by third parties, such as Discord or payment providers, or for interruptions caused by events outside our reasonable control.
14 Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For significant changes, we notify account holders by email at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not accept the changes, you can cancel before they apply. Purchases already made remain governed by the terms in force when you made them.
15 Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue. Consumers can also get free mediation through Forbrukerrådet and bring the case before Forbrukerklageutvalget. Consumers always keep the right to bring a case before the courts where they live.
